The sports hall has a usable surface area of around 975 square metres. With 400 seats and 100 standing places, the sports competitions can be watched by 500 spectators.
The sports hall has modern toilet, shower and washing facilities as well as changing rooms, plus two fitness rooms, each with a surface area of 200 square metres, for the use of people of all ages. The ?Franz Vollbring? sports hall is available for use by schools and clubs, and also for leisure and recreational sporting activities.
As well as several martial arts such as judo and ju jutsu, participants can engage in track and field athletics, keep-fit exercises, table-tennis and boxing. Numerous ball games can also be played, ranging from handball, football and volleyball to badminton. The large hall also contains a climbing wall, where climbing can be learned under supervision. On the area in front of the sports hall a skating arena has been created. It has a number of low-level ramps and obstacles where inline skating enthusiasts can practise their skills.
